Pakistan delivered a commanding performance to complete a 3–0 T20I series sweep against Australia, registering a thumping 111 run victory in the final match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. The emphatic win was powered by a brilliant five wicket haul by Mohammad Nawaz, followed by composed batting displays from Babar Azam and Saim Ayub.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan posted an imposing 207 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings got off to a shaky start as opener Sahibzada Farhan departed early, and captain Salman Ali Agha could not capitalize on his recent form. However, the momentum shifted when Babar Azam and Saim Ayub came together at the crease.

The experienced duo stitched a crucial 69 run partnership, stabilizing the innings and setting the platform for a big total. Saim Ayub led the charge with a fluent 56 off 37 balls, striking six boundaries and two towering sixes. After his dismissal, Babar Azam continued to anchor the innings and remained unbeaten on 50, ensuring Pakistan finished strongly.

Lower down the order, Shadab Khan provided the finishing fireworks with a blistering 46 off just 19 deliveries, smashing five sixes and two fours. His aggressive cameo further demoralized the Australian bowling attack.

In reply, Australia’s batting lineup collapsed under intense pressure. Chasing a daunting target, the visitors were bundled out for just 96 runs in 16.5 overs. Mohammad Nawaz was the chief architect of the collapse, returning sensational figures of 5 for 18. He was well supported by Shaheen Shah Afridi, who picked up two wickets, while Abrar Ahmed and Naseem Shah chipped in with one each.

Only Marcus Stoinis and Cameron Green showed brief resistance, but the target proved far beyond reach. The victory marked Pakistan’s highest margin of win against Australia in T20Is and served as an ideal buildup ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.
