The Multan administration has launched a strict citywide crackdown against illegal road cuts and unauthorized signage in an effort to improve traffic flow, public safety, and urban appearance. Multan Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan has directed authorities to take zero tolerance action against all violations across the city and along national highways.
According to officials, a special two-week operation has already begun to remove road cuts created without official approval. These illegal openings have been identified as a significant cause of traffic congestion and accidents, especially on busy urban roads. The commissioner also instructed departments to immediately dismantle unauthorized publicity boards installed on central medians, green belts, and right-of-way areas.
Commissioner Khan clearly warned that encroachment on government land will not be tolerated, and violators will face strict legal action. Citizens have been advised to voluntarily remove illegal road cuts and advertising boards to avoid penalties. Those who fail to comply will face heavy fines and confiscation of materials.
Deputy commissioners across Multan have been tasked with carrying out swift enforcement measures to ensure full implementation of the operation. Officials stated that the campaign aims to restore the city’s aesthetic beauty, ensure smoother traffic movement, and enhance overall road safety.
The administration has urged residents and businesses to cooperate fully, stressing that public convenience and safety remain the top priority of the crackdown.
