Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) is set to revolutionize Pakistan’s auto industry this November 2025 with the launch of the Deepal S05, the nation’s first CKD Range-Extended Hybrid Electric Vehicle (REEV). This premium C-segment SUV promises an impressive 1000+ km combined driving range, eliminating range anxiety through a pure electric drive powered by a self-charging onboard generator.

Danial Malik, CEO of MCML, highlighted the significance of this milestone: “This launch marks a defining moment for Pakistan’s auto industry — we are not only addressing range anxiety but also shaping the future of mobility with an EV-first platform designed for our market.”

The Deepal S05 stands out as more than just an SUV. Built on a next-gen EV-first platform, it offers the longest wheelbase and widest body in its class, giving passengers the most spacious cabin among C-segment SUVs in Pakistan. Already successful under the global Deepal brand, it is now entering Pakistan as the most advanced SUV yet.

Styled by legendary automotive designer Klaus Zyciora, former Head of Design at Volkswagen Group, the S05’s futuristic aesthetics include a spacecraft-inspired fascia, wide-body stance, frameless windows, and hidden door handles. Its breakthrough design has earned the prestigious iF Design Award, confirming its global recognition.

In just six years, MCML has risen to Pakistan’s #3 automotive brand and the top new entrant, with more than 65,000 vehicles on the road. With the earlier launch of Deepal as Pakistan’s first electric-first brand, models like the Deepal S07 SUV and Deepal L07 sedan have already secured the top spot as premium New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in the country.

The Deepal S05 now raises the bar further by addressing the biggest hurdle to EV adoption in Pakistan: charging infrastructure and limited range. With futuristic styling, cutting-edge technology, and long-distance practicality, this SUV is set to change the way Pakistan drives.
