Karachi witnessed a pleasant change in weather on Tuesday as several parts of the city received light to moderate rain along with strong winds. The sudden shift in temperature brought relief to residents who had been experiencing dry conditions over the past few days. According to reports, areas such as Gulistan e Johar, Scheme 33, North Nazimabad, Orangi Town, SITE Area, Buffer Zone, and University Road experienced scattered showers during the day.

In some localities, particularly Scheme 33 and nearby areas, residents also reported hailstorm activity, adding to the intensity of the weather. However, in Nazimabad and surrounding neighborhoods, the rain stopped after a brief spell and sunshine reappeared shortly after.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department confirmed that the rain is expected to continue in parts of the city until the evening. The department explained that this fresh spell is linked to a westerly weather system affecting northern and western regions of the country. Officials had earlier predicted rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms in Sindh under the influence of this shallow westerly wave.

Amid the changing weather conditions, K Electric advised citizens to exercise caution while using electrical appliances. The power utility warned that illegal electricity connections and power theft through hooks can pose serious safety risks, especially during rainfall. As a precautionary measure, power supply was temporarily suspended in some low lying areas where rainwater had accumulated. The company stated that its field teams are on alert and continuously monitoring the situation.

Beyond Karachi, the weather system is also expected to bring rain and thunderstorms to various districts of Balochistan, southern Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with chances of isolated hailstorms in some regions. Authorities have urged citizens to remain careful and follow safety guidelines during unstable weather conditions.
