A social media activist was reportedly detained by law enforcement officials in Rawalpindi after allegedly recording the movement of Imran Khan during his transfer between hospital and prison. According to sources, Haider Saeed was taken into custody in the Dahgal Naka area, located near Adiala Jail, and later shifted to the Adiala Police Post for questioning.

The detention followed a high security operation on Monday night when the former prime minister was transported from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences PIMS back to Adiala Jail after undergoing a medical examination. Authorities claim that Saeed recorded footage of the official motorcade outside the hospital, which reportedly raised security concerns and prompted immediate action.

Imran Khan, aged 73, has been incarcerated since August 2023 after being convicted in multiple cases that he maintains were politically motivated following his removal from office in 2022. His recent hospital visit was part of ongoing medical treatment for a serious eye condition.

A report submitted to the Supreme Court disclosed that the PTI founder has been diagnosed with central retinal vein occlusion CRVO, a condition that has significantly affected his eyesight. According to the medical details shared, he currently retains only 15 percent vision in his right eye. Doctors at PIMS administered a second anti VEGF intravitreal injection as part of his treatment plan, and another dose is expected in the coming weeks.

While the government insists that Khan is receiving the best possible medical care, his health continues to spark debate between authorities and opposition leaders. Meanwhile, the detention of the activist has raised fresh questions regarding security protocols surrounding the former premier’s movements.
