In a positive development for Pakistani pilgrims, the government has announced a refund of Rs. 3.45 billion to more than 66,000 individuals who performed Hajj in 2025. The refunds are a result of savings made on accommodation, food, and transportation expenses during the pilgrimage.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the refund amount will range from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 110,000 per pilgrim, based on the facilities they availed. The ministry confirmed that all refunds will be transferred directly to bank accounts by October 31, ensuring a transparent and hassle-free process.

Officials highlighted that this step demonstrates the government’s commitment to fairness and financial accountability in managing Hajj operations. Looking ahead, the ministry unveiled details for Hajj 2026, offering two packages: a 40-day package costing Rs. 1.15 million and a 25-day package at Rs. 1.2 million.

Both packages include travel bags, local SIM cards, and enhanced training programs to make the pilgrimage more convenient and well-organized. Authorities emphasized that these improvements are part of a broader plan to modernize Hajj operations and provide better services and transparency to all pilgrims.

The ministry reaffirmed that the efficient handling of Hajj 2025 funds sets a strong precedent for trust, reliability, and improved management in the upcoming year.
