Samsung has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series will launch next month, with pre orders opening from February 26, 2026. The unveiling will take place at a dedicated Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for February 25, marking the brand’s first major smartphone release of the year.

The upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup will consist of three models: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+, and the standard Galaxy S26. As expected, the Ultra variant will headline the series with top tier specifications, placing it firmly in the premium smartphone segment, while the other two models aim to balance performance and value.

Earlier rumours hinted at the introduction of Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge models. However, those plans appear to have been shelved due to weak demand for the Galaxy S25 Edge and rising competition from Apple’s iPhone 17 series. As a result, Samsung has chosen to retain its traditional three model strategy for the S series.

Fresh leaks from European retailers suggest several notable upgrades across the Galaxy S26 range. One of the most significant changes is a base storage increase, with both the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ starting at 256 GB, while higher configurations are expected to offer 512 GB storage. This move positions Samsung strongly against rivals that still offer lower base storage options.

In terms of design, the Galaxy S26 models are expected to launch in black, white, sky blue, and cobalt violet, with additional online exclusive colours likely to follow. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to feature a high refresh rate AMOLED display, an advanced multi lens camera system, a flagship Snapdragon or Exynos chipset, improved battery life, and a refined premium design.

Samsung is also expected to enhance the appeal of early buyers through pre order incentives, including better trade in offers, free storage upgrades, and complimentary subscriptions to services such as Google AI Pro.

Overall, the Galaxy S26 series strengthens Samsung’s position across both premium and high storage segments, catering to power users and everyday consumers alike.
