A total of 137 activists, including 36 Turkish citizens, have safely returned to Türkiye after being detained by Israeli authorities. The group had participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian mission aimed at delivering vital aid to G@za and raising global awareness about the ongoing block@de.
The activists were deported from Israel’s Ramon Airport and landed in Istanbul around 3:50 p.m. local time, where they were warmly welcomed by officials, humanitarian groups, and supporters. The reception reflected widespread admiration for their courage, solidarity, and commitment to peace efforts.
The Global Sumud Flotilla was organized by international humanitarian organizations to bring food, medicine, and essential supplies to people suffering from shortages. The mission also sought to draw global attention to the severe humanitarian crisis affecting civilians in the region.
