Pakistan’s top leadership has strongly reaffirmed that the country’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are non negotiable amid rising tensions along the Pakistan Afghanistan border. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized that any aggression against Pakistan will be met with a firm and decisive response.
The statements came after Pakistan’s armed forces launched Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq following cross border hostilities. According to security sources, the military successfully targeted multiple hostile positions using artillery and advanced quadcopter surveillance, significantly weakening the opposing side’s defensive capabilities. Reports suggested heavy losses were inflicted, forcing several positions to retreat.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Pakistan has always promoted peace and regional stability, but peace should never be misunderstood as weakness. He highlighted that the Pakistan Armed Forces are fully equipped, professionally trained, and prepared to respond to both internal and external threats. He also noted that under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the military continues to perform its duties with strong national commitment.
President Asif Ali Zardari echoed similar sentiments, warning that any attempt to test Pakistan’s patience would result in a strong, comprehensive, and immediate response. He reaffirmed that the entire nation stands united behind its armed forces to defend the country at all costs.
Defence officials further stated that Pakistan had exercised restraint and pursued diplomatic engagement for regional peace. However, continued aggression and attempts to target civilian areas were described as unacceptable and intolerable. Interior authorities also praised the military’s swift and professional response, assuring citizens that their safety remains a top priority.
Political leaders across the country reiterated that while Pakistan seeks peace, it will never compromise on its national defence, stability, and the protection of its people.
