Pakistan’s javelin star Arshad Nadeem delivered another outstanding performance as he successfully defended his gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh. Competing at the Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium, Arshad dominated the final from start to finish, reaffirming his position as one of Asia’s top throwers. His teammate Muhammad Yasir also impressed, earning the silver medal.

Arshad opened the event with a strong 75.44 metre throw, instantly securing first place. He followed this with his longest throw of the night, a remarkable 83.05 metres, which no other athlete came close to matching. His subsequent attempts, including 82.48 metres and 77.06 metres, further highlighted his consistency and control throughout the competition. His final valid throw measured 77.98 metres, comfortably sealing his victory.

No other competitor managed to cross the 80 metre mark in any of their six attempts. Pakistan’s Yasir secured silver with his best throw of 76.04 metres in his final attempt, giving Pakistan a strong 1 2 finish. Nigeria’s Samuel Adams Kure claimed bronze with 76.01 metres, narrowly behind Yasir.

This victory adds another significant achievement to Arshad Nadeem’s growing list of international successes and strengthens Pakistan’s presence in global athletics. His consistent excellence continues to inspire young athletes across the country.
