Amazon’s Project Kuiper is set to transform Pakistan’s digital landscape with its plan to launch satellite broadband internet services across the country by late 2026. This initiative represents a major leap forward in expanding nationwide connectivity and strengthening Pakistan’s IT and telecom infrastructure.
The announcement came after a high-level meeting between Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and the Amazon Project Kuiper delegation, where both sides discussed strategic collaboration to promote digital inclusion. The goal is to deliver fast and affordable internet to all parts of Pakistan, especially remote and underserved areas that still struggle with poor connectivity.
To support this rollout, Amazon intends to build ground stations, gateways, and Points of Presence (PoPs) in Pakistan. These facilities will ensure stable and high-speed data transmission, directly improving the country’s digital ecosystem.
The initiative perfectly aligns with Pakistan’s Digital Nation Vision, fostering innovation, e-commerce growth, and technological advancement. Once active, the project is expected to revolutionize education, business, and communication, helping bridge the urban-rural digital divide and empowering millions of Pakistanis with seamless internet access.
This partnership marks a historic milestone in Pakistan’s journey toward becoming a digitally connected nation, paving the way for a stronger, smarter, and more inclusive future.
