Pakistani students dreaming of studying in Japan can now apply for the ADB-Japan Scholarship 2026 at the University of Tokyo, one of Asia’s most prestigious universities. This fully funded scholarship welcomes applicants from Asian Development Bank (ADB) member countries, including Pakistan, offering a golden chance to pursue a master’s degree abroad.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living allowance, travel expenses, medical insurance, and even research or thesis support. With these benefits, students can focus completely on their academic journey without financial stress.

To qualify, applicants must belong to an ADB member nation, hold a bachelor’s degree, have at least two years of professional experience, and be under 35 years of age. Candidates must also agree to return home for two years after graduation. Those aiming for a PhD are advised to consider the MEXT Scholarship instead.

Applications require a filled GSFS form, research plan, academic transcripts, and two recommendation letters sent directly by referees. Students should contact potential supervisors before applying and may list up to five names. Eligible departments include Environmental Studies, Ocean Technology, International Studies, and Sustainability Science.

The deadline to apply is December 10, 2025, with classes beginning October 1, 2026. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan encourages students to seize this opportunity for global learning and leadership development.
