Peshawar Zalmi secured a thrilling victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in a tense PSL 11 match, winning by four wickets in a low scoring encounter at Karachi’s National Bank Stadium. The match kept fans on edge until the final over, showcasing a mix of disciplined bowling and calculated batting.
Chasing a modest target of 146, Zalmi had an early setback when opener Mohammad Haris was dismissed quickly. However, captain Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis steadied the innings with a crucial partnership, helping the team recover and build momentum. Babar once again proved his class, finishing as the top scorer with 43 runs, anchoring the chase with composure.
After Mendis departed, Zalmi faced mounting pressure as wickets began to fall at regular intervals. Despite the tension, key contributions from middle order players ensured the team stayed in the hunt. The match reached a dramatic finish when Zalmi required 14 runs in the final over.
