Pakistan’s top order received a major boost as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan made impressive progress in the latest ICC ODI rankings following the team’s dominant 3 0 series win against Sri Lanka. Both players delivered strong performances, helping Pakistan secure valuable rating points in multiple ranking categories.

In the updated batting rankings, Babar Azam moved up one spot to take sixth place with 722 rating points, while Salman Ali Agha held firm at 16th position. Mohammad Rizwan made one of the most notable jumps of the week, rising five places to reach 22nd, showcasing his growing consistency in the 50 over format. Fakhar Zaman also improved significantly, climbing five spots to 26th with 589 points.

Not all Pakistani batters saw an upward trend. Saim Ayub slipped to 38th, and Imam ul Haq fell seven places to 54th as they struggled to maintain earlier momentum.

At the top of the global charts, there was a major shift as New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell overtook India’s Rohit Sharma to become the number one ODI batter. Sharma now sits second, followed by Ibrahim Zadran, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli in third, fourth, and fifth.

In the bowling rankings, Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed made a stunning rise of 11 spots to enter the top 10, now ranked ninth. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi dropped to 21st, Haris Rauf climbed to 23rd, and Mohammad Wasim Jr surged 20 places to 64th. Rashid Khan continues to dominate as the world’s top ODI bowler.
