Security forces have successfully eliminated two terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan during a precise intelligence-based operation in the Washuk district of Balochistan. The action took place in the Palantak area on Monday and forms part of the continuing Operation Rad-ul-Fitna aimed at dismantling India-sponsored militant networks active in the province.
According to security sources, the killed militants had earlier taken part in attacks on the Mashkel police station and the local Customs House. Their vehicle was completely destroyed during the encounter. Forces also recovered a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition from the site. Officials confirmed that these arms were specifically stockpiled for carrying out target killings of ordinary unarmed Baloch citizens and other acts of terrorism.
The sources made it clear that security personnel will keep pressing the campaign against Fitna al-Hindustan elements until the threat is fully removed from Balochistan. The operation highlights the determined effort to protect local communities and restore lasting peace in the region.
Pakistan has faced a noticeable rise in militant violence, especially across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021. A recent assessment by the Centre for Research and Security Studies shows that these two provinces remained the primary centers of conflict during the second quarter of 2026. Together they accounted for nearly 96 percent of all violence-related deaths recorded in that period. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa alone reported more than 61 percent of the fatalities, totaling 475, while Balochistan registered 34 percent with 265 deaths.
In terms of incidents, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 151 cases, making up 57 percent of the national total. Balochistan followed closely with 94 incidents, or 35 percent. These figures underline how concentrated the security challenges have become in the two provinces.
The latest success in Washuk demonstrates the effectiveness of intelligence-driven actions under Operation Rad-ul-Fitna. By neutralizing key operatives and seizing their resources, forces have prevented potential attacks that could have claimed more innocent lives. Continued vigilance and coordinated efforts remain essential to counter external sponsorship of terrorism and to safeguard the people of Balochistan from further harm. Security officials reaffirm their commitment to eliminating every remaining pocket of this threat through sustained and focused operations across the province.
