Pakistan and India Drawn Together in Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026

Bitter rivals India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026, set to take place from August 28 to September 13. The tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups of four, with all 15 matches, including the final, scheduled at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Group A includes defending champions India, traditional rivals Pakistan, Thailand, and Hong Kong, China. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates. The competition begins on August 28 when Thailand faces Hong Kong, China.

Pakistan will start their campaign on September 1 against Thailand. The highly anticipated clash between Pakistan and India is scheduled for September 5, followed by Pakistan’s final group match against Hong Kong, China on September 7. India will play Thailand on August 30 and Hong Kong, China on September 3.

Each team will face the other three sides in their group during the league stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, planned for September 10 and 11. The final is set for September 13.

The full schedule includes matches such as Sri Lanka versus UAE on August 29, Bangladesh versus Indonesia on August 31, and several other group fixtures leading up to the knockout stage. Officials confirmed that the format ensures competitive games throughout the continental event.

This grouping has generated significant interest among cricket fans, as the Pakistan-India encounter always draws massive attention. The Green Shirts aim to make a strong start against Thailand before preparing for the high-stakes rivalry match later in the group stage of the Women’s T20 Asia Cup.
