The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has issued an important alert for its beneficiaries across Pakistan, introducing new guidelines to make the payment process easier and more secure.
According to official details, all eligible and registered women under the program have been advised to carefully follow the updated instructions to receive their financial assistance without any issues. The latest changes are aimed at improving convenience and reducing long waiting times at payment centers.
Officials said that registered women who have not yet received their dedicated BISP SIM cards should collect them as soon as possible. After receiving the SIM card, beneficiaries are advised to wait for 10 to 12 days before trying to withdraw their financial aid.
Under the new system, BISP payments will now be transferred directly into digital wallet accounts, making the process faster and more transparent. This means beneficiaries will no longer need to follow fixed office timings or spend hours standing in long queues at cash centers.
Women will now be able to access their funds from anywhere and withdraw money whenever they need it. Once the payment is deposited into the digital wallet, an automatic SMS notification will be sent to the beneficiary’s registered mobile number.
The SMS will clearly mention the exact payment amount, withdrawal details, and applicable bank charges. Officials confirmed that the current quarterly installment for beneficiaries is Rs 14,500, while standard bank processing charges are set at Rs 280.
Authorities also emphasized that there is no need to rush to payment centers because the funds will remain safely stored in the beneficiary’s account. Women can withdraw the full amount or only the amount they need at any time.
The new digital payment system is expected to improve transparency, security, and ease of access for thousands of deserving families across Pakistan.
