The passport home delivery service has officially been launched in Pakistan, bringing a major convenience for citizens who apply for new passports or renew their travel documents.

According to official details, people will no longer need to visit passport offices again just to collect their passports. Instead, the document will now be delivered directly to their homes, making the entire process much easier and more efficient.

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) introduced this new service in partnership with TCS Private Limited, one of Pakistan’s leading courier companies. The formal launch took place during a meeting at the DGIP headquarters in Islamabad, where Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa and TCS CEO Hassan Raza Leghari finalized the agreement.

Under this partnership, TCS will act as the official delivery service provider for passports across the country. Applicants who want to avoid long waiting lines can now select the home delivery option while submitting their passport applications.

Officials said this step will make passport distribution faster, safer, and more convenient for the public. The service is expected to reduce overcrowding at passport offices and save valuable time for applicants.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader plan to improve public services and modernize administrative systems. Authorities stated that the move supports the reform vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who have been focusing on making government services more accessible and efficient.

Earlier, the government also introduced a cashless payment system in passport offices. With the addition of home delivery, citizens can now expect a smoother and more hassle free passport process in Pakistan.
